Our Positec headquarters runs on 100% electric power.
Energy-saving technologies are powered by electricity from various renewable sources to reduce the overall complex’s carbon footprint. A 325 kW solar panel system covers 3,500 square meters of the south side and generates about 28% of the building’s electricity.

Using rainwater cuts down water usage by 71%.
Rainwater is collected from the 10.200m² square meters of roof area using almost 42.800m² square meters of permeable pavers. The water is gathered in a 10.000m³ cubic meter catchment basin, where it gets filtered and treated with UV sterilization. The recycled water is then used for flushing toilets, irrigation, and cleaning both inside and outside.

The smart building system keeps an eye on and processes info from sensors installed in the building’s electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems. This data helps to make heating, cooling, ventilation, lighting, power generation, and water usage super efficient.

The underground area is 208% of the lot size.
Since a big part of the building is underground, it only takes up a small fraction of the space of a typical 5-story building. The building lets sunlight and wind flow through freely, without blocking or messing with the climate.

The heating and cooling of the building is 100% powered by renewable energy sources.
200 pipes that stretch over 20 km/h reach down about 100 meters into the ground, keeping things comfy to work in all year round. Plus, a green roof, super-efficient glass windows, and cutting-edge insulation tech help save on energy costs.

Using Landroid lawn mowers instead of gas mowers saves as much CO2 as taking 322 cars off the road for 30 days a year.
A bunch of Worx® Landroid lawn mowers takes care of the 27.000m² square meters of grass in the complex all on their own. This constant mowing cuts down on the need for watering and keeps the use of chemical fertilizers and weed killers to a minimum. By only using native plants, it helps reduce the need for watering and keeps the local habitat intact.

80% of the office space is lit by natural light.
The stepped design lets in a ton of natural light and creates a nice workspace. The energy-efficient LED lights and T5 tubes turn on with motion sensors. The basement gets lit up by solar tubes that bring daylight deep into the building.

By using electric buses, we’re cutting down on the emissions from 250.000 car trips a year.
A bunch of electric buses takes about 480 Positec commuters around every day without any emissions. Plus, employees who drive electric cars can charge their rides for free in the company parking lot.
