Most robotic lawn mowers can only work within a defined area. They require a lengthy setup process before they can start mowing. But with Landroid Vision, we’ve developed the first mower that doesn’t need boundary wires, mapping, or beacons and is ready to go in no time. Landroid Vision’s advanced neural network can distinguish between grass that needs cutting, obstacles, and marked boundaries. Its wide-angle camera collects data and guides the mower’s actions through its neural network. Mowing your lawn has never been this easy and smart.

Small engines
are big polluters

According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, a gas-powered lawn mower emits as much pollution as 11 newer-model cars. The agency reports that, during peak season, mower emissions account for about 5% of total pollution in residential areas.
Consumers can’t be blamed for pollution when there’s no alternative technology. Electric mowers require long, cumbersome cords, while battery-powered mowers run only for a limited time. Both are generally seen as less powerful than gas mowers… In 2009, Positec launched IntelliCut, a revolutionary generation of cordless mowers capable of covering up to 1,600 m² on a single charge. These mowers feature Power-on-Demand technology—an electronic control that boosts power when needed, putting them on par with, or even surpassing, gas mowers.
If 50% of the estimated 150 million mowers in use worldwide were replaced with IntelliCut zero-emission mowers, it would be like taking over 800 million cars off the road—for at least one hour a week, six months a year. Our technology makes it possible.

Good vibrations?
Not always

Vibrations from handheld power tools are a common cause of work-related disabilities, leading to painful and debilitating conditions affecting blood vessels, nerves, and joints—known as HAVS (Hand-Arm Vibration Syndrome). Millions of workers are at risk of developing HAVS on the job. This condition is severe and disabling, and once the damage is done, it’s irreversible. The European Union’s Directive 2002/44/EC recognizes this risk and limits worker exposure in the EU to a trigger value of 2.5 m/s². Unfortunately, the vast majority of power grinders, hammer drills, and reciprocating saws don’t meet this critical safety standard.
Some tools vibrate as a side effect, while others rely on vibration as a primary function. In motor sanders, for example, the sandpaper attached to the sanding pad vibrates. Positec’s VibraFree technology takes a unique approach: it absorbs unwanted vibrations and transfers them to the workpiece instead of to the user’s hand. Simple yet revolutionary, it works independently of the applied pressure.
VibraFree-based sanders not only meet EU safety regulations but also greatly increase worker productivity by redirecting unwanted vibrations back to the tool itself. An Intertek-certified sanding test showed that VibraFree sanders reduce vibration by about half compared to the top competitor’s machine and are over 30% more efficient. This combination of lower vibration and higher performance results in a drastic reduction in vibration exposure for the user.

Quiet

For a peaceful atmosphere in the suburbs

Originally, we aimed to extend the battery life of our lawn mowers by improving the aerodynamic efficiency of the blades. In the process, we stumbled upon a way to significantly reduce noise levels compared to other mowers. While a typical gas mower can be heard from half a kilometer away, our new Intellicut® mowers are barely audible from less than 10 meters. We call it the “whispering mower.” We’d cheer about it, but we don’t want to disturb the neighbors.

Our Exactrack technology lets the saw blade align directly with the guide rail, so you don’t have to double-check measurements. Got some sanding to do? With interchangeable sanding attachments, the Sanddeck combines five sanders into one cordless device. And for your DIY workshop, we’ve got you covered: All tool attachments can be flexibly connected to a one-meter power cord with a battery, keeping tools lightweight and allowing you to work freely without being tied to an outlet.

Take care when using chainsaws

Among the most common power tools for lawn and garden work, chainsaws are by far the most dangerous. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), every year around 36.000 people end up in emergency rooms due to chainsaw injuries. In the U.S. alone, medical costs for these injuries run about $350 million a year.

We recognized the problem: most chainsaws seem designed more for the needs of lumberjacks than for typical homeowner tasks. So, our main goal was to create a chainsaw suited for everything from pruning and cutting logs to post-storm cleanup. The result is the Worx® JawSaw – a chainsaw with a blade guard that fully encloses the chain, preventing accidental contact. Plus, users need both hands on the tool handles to operate it, adding an extra layer of safety.

Designed with homeowners in mind, the JawSaw is a much safer chainsaw that can play a big role in reducing chainsaw-related injuries.

For a more relaxed coexistence

In spring, suburban air is filled with noise and other pollutants. A typical gas-powered lawn mower can be heard up to 500 meters away—in other words, a single mower pollutes up to 100 acres of the neighborhood with noise. While electric mowers are quieter, their noise still carries up to 200 meters. This kind of noise pollution negatively impacts the quality of life in residential areas.
Like helicopters, the main source of noise in lawn mowers isn’t the engine but the blade. By improving the blade’s aerodynamics, we achieved a significant noise reduction. We call this technology ‘Mute,’ and it lives up to its name. With Mute, noise is contained within a 15-meter range. The battery-powered, cordless lawn mowers from Worx® are lightweight, exceptionally quiet, easy to use, and deliver a cut like no other.
Gardeners can now maintain green spaces without disturbing the neighborhood’s peace. Plus, with Worx® IntelliCut™ technology, they can dial up extra torque for thicker grass when needed and reduce power to save energy.
