In June, Positec entered into a strategic global partnership with Real Madrid. Over an initial period of six years, the company will serve as the official greenkeeping equipment supplier for the club's grounds maintenance.
At the heart of the collaboration is a shared belief that peak performance requires the right tools - and that progress must be sustainable. Kress satellite-guided robotic mowers are already in operation at championship golf courses and historic sites around the world. Now they will also support sustainable landscape management at the Ciudad Real Madrid training facility, home to the current record holder for the most European trophies in both football (15) and basketball (11), and named the best club of the 20th century by FIFA.
The partnership goes well beyond the pitch: with more than 1.2 million square metres of grounds at Ciudad Real Madrid - including gardens, trees, hedges and meadows - the 123-year-old club was looking for a comprehensive approach to sustainable outdoor maintenance, and found it in Positec. Kress Commercial's robotic mowers and battery-powered outdoor equipment have replaced the previous fossil-fuel-powered machinery and are now operated by the club's 60 groundskeepers.
It marks the first time Real Madrid has entered into a partnership with a brand from the professional turf care industry. For Positec CEO Don Gao, the collaboration also reflects a shared commitment to sustainability: "This is more than just a sponsorship. It's a statement of intent - to lead with excellence, to innovate responsibly, and to raise the global standard of sustainable grounds care."
